[320pm] Futures offer some clarity(ES,YM)-
[335pm] And here is a potential structure in SPX to end wave [iv] if certain lows hold.
Today's low may or may not hold but is a logical place to register the low for wave [iv] by a number of guidelines per the bullish count.
In any case, the recent high is likely wave [iii] per the bullish count or the end of wave [x] per the bearish count.

[1055am] Count update (ES, SPX)-
spike down on news of another 7.4 earthquake in Japan and tsunami warning.

Market Timing Update (4/5/11)
[EOD] Stocks -
Per the bullish count, wave #8 since the March low is likely still in progress, in a triangle-type sideways form or a flat. NDX having made a lower low appears to support this interpretation.
A competing alternative count is that today's high is wave (i) of wave #9 (say, [v]), with the PM retrace being wave (ii) of wave #9.
The bearish count is indicated by the red labels - wave [x] ending or wave #9 ending.

Market Timing Update (4/4/11)
[EOD] stocks -
Per the bullish tracking count, wave number 8 from the March low is likely approaching its end if not already complete. The bearish alternative is a 1s2s or LD down. Odds appear to favor the bullish count at the moment, until an impulsive wave down develops.
The rebound in NDX futures is relatively (especially) strong, following the completion of a potential zigzag.

MTU Weekend Ed. - Brief Update (4/1/11 Close)
If one subscribes to the minor wave 5 count, there could be "meaningfully" more upside, with today's high potentially being only iii of (iii) of [iii].
If one subscribes to a wave [x] rebound, wave [x] could have ended at today's high with a wedge or with one more push higher to complete the 2nd set of 7 waves.
These options can be seen when comparing SPX with NYA.
